We earned this day, ladies!
The eager children just could not wait on a day this. Less than minutes after the sun rose, the rubber chicken squawked rather oddly. It was time to wake up and after some corralling, all small humans were in the vehicle on their way to church. The section of mass dedicated to peace was an opportunity to show two sisters who were more interested in fighting instead. After church commenced, Mother’s Day breakfast was next on the docket and what should have been a nice meal ended up being a first grade impromptu of multiple children trying to communicate over several tables.
Following breakfast, it was time for gifts and this years delivered. One bouquet of finger print flowers, a list of what momma does best and a pair of porch chairs were some of the presents celebrating Mother’s Day. After some playing, there was taking one grandma to lunch and much later a second one to dinner. Big sister came home for a visit before bath time and bedtime came without much fanfare.
A good day was had by all and went all too quick. The young ladies were very pleased with the gifts that they presented. Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms out there!
