They’ve Got Baseball On The Mind

A little rain never stopped a child’s passion for baseball or paint!

The morning rain put the young children of the house in a bit of a puddling situation. The crowd had been stuck in the house for most of the past week between the heat indexes over 100 degrees Fahrenheit and the heavy afternoon showers. Cabin fever had been running strong and the last thing the two sets of eyes wanted to see was gray clouds dumping more rain. The young minds started toying over ideas when one shouted that it was time to paint.

There were not a lot of painting projects at home as a trip to the dollar store was strongly needed, but three wooden balls sat in a small storage container. The round wonders of void could be some real great canvases and when the girls saw them, the one who previously shouted had a plan pop up in her mind. She smiled at her younger sitter and informed her that they needed to paint “Let’s Go Bucs!” Clearly their recent trip to the baseball stadium was fresh on the ladies’ minds, but the littlest painter also agreed that was a good idea.

The painters recruited their mom to paint the third ball so everyone had one wooden circular object to paint. With some slight creative differences between the children, the three baseballs were eventually finished. Everyone had an opportunity to paint and by the time the paint dried, the clouds had disappeared from view. There would only be one thing left to do, jump in the puddles outside!
